In 2004, a retired cartographer, Geoff Aitken, perceived the need for better maps for outdoor recreation and, with the assistance of cartographic software from Lorienne in Paris, has developed maps that are uniquely suited to trampers' needs and the environment. Each map focuses on a track or area of interest at a scale that shows the detail to best advantage.
Geoff is assisted by his son Peter who manages the orders, and the staff of MapWorld in Christchurch, who warehouse our bulk stock (40 titles, 20,000 maps) and despatch orders under Peter’s instructions.
