BREWSTER HUT, MT ASPIRING NATIONAL PARK
Do the Mahi and get the treats! The 4 hour uphill battle is totally worth it when you arrive at Brewster Hut and are welcomed by unreal views of the Haast pass.
A tidy 12 bunk hut sitting in the perfect location to watch the waterfall flowing from the Glacier above. A further 1.5 hours is the picture-perfect Glacier just below Mt Brewster; very quickly you feel like a true mountaineer as you begin the descent off the ridge and down to the bottom of the Glacier. If you are feeling bold, a dip in the crystal blue water is rather refreshing but totally worth it.
Some things to note:
~this track would be risky after some rain as there is a river crossing right at the start
~the track to the glacier is only marked by cairns and is quite slippery
