Skip the gondola and earn your view the old fashioned way! If you’re willing to put in the legwork, this track offers an amazing outlook of Queenstown, Lake Wakatipu and north to Coronet Peak.

Park on Belfast Terrace, where there is a small carpark and plenty of on-street parking - all free!
The track is immediately steep but quite even, and meanders up through pine forest. It becomes more technical at the top - expect some roots, rocks and dry, dusty trail!
Once out of the tree line you’ll pass multiple viewpoints overlooking Queenstown and the gorgeous Lake Wakatipu! But keep heading up - the most rewarding 360 degree view is right at the top!
